Rai.TV
Posted on Giugno 29th, 2007Rai - Radio Televisione Italiana, is the Italian public service broadcaster. It operates three terrestrial television channels and three radio channels, in addition to several satellite and digital terrestrial offering. Created in 1924, it started television broadcasts on 1954 and now Rai has a relatively high audience share of 43%.
Half of Rai’s revenues come from the broadcast licence fee, half from advertising.
GOALS
- Convert Rai.tv a mediaportal which could bring on the web the traditional offering, the ca talogue and all the new multimedia products of Rai: audio and video on demand, podacst, videopodcast, streaming live, web tv;
- Make an adjustment at structure, functions and graphic design, to being in line with the evolution of multimedia product, advertising’s necessities and new formats;
- Introduce and promote instruments to share and make viral the multimedia contents, paying attention to fruition’s analysis and web trends.
SOLUTION
H-art, thanks to a profitable collaboration with Rai Net, created Rai.tv with the aim to shape a media portal of news and fun. The new graphic design inherits the image of TV, symbolizing a big window on the TV shows, radio programs and satellite’s palinsesto. All of them designed in a big numbers of screens. On the site it’s possible to rich a lot of media contents on demand, podacst, streaming live and web tv, through an innovative system of serach and navigation. The result was a portal that renders the web 2.0 style, with the purpose of hosting an innovative relationship with users, till to become the main charachters of media contents.
H-art works on the communication analysis of the new web portal, on the functional project and also studying graphic design. Then H-art produces a demo of the site, useful for a preliminary test about the visitors’ satisfaction, which involved a group of representative users.
